A coastline squeezed between mountains and sea
Kemer is a narrow strip running down from the Taurus foothills to the water. Hotels, holiday complexes and villas built into the slopes line Beldibi, Göynük, Kiriş, Çamyuva and Tekirova, while Kemer town and the villages inland have year-round flats and family houses. Villas typically come with high ceilings, sliding doors onto the pool and broad terraces. In the complexes, many flats are used in summer and closed up or let for the rest of the year.
Sea air brings humidity and salt, evenings bring wind off the mountains, and summer noon sun is fierce. Above all, people here want to keep the view: the job is to manage glare, not to shut out the sea.
From Beldibi to Tekirova
- Beldibi, closest to Antalya, squeezes complexes and hotels between a steep slope and the shore. Balconies are narrow and nearly every flat faces the sea, so screen and pleated blinds work well.
- Göynük has newer complexes and villas stretching towards the canyon, with large glass walls and pool doors – wooden blinds and, for big openings, motorised systems.
- Kiriş and Çamyuva sit among pine forest. Trees shade some rooms while open façades take full sun, so one house often needs two different products.
- Tekirova in the south is dense with hotels and holiday complexes; rentals need simple blinds any guest can use.
- Kemer town, Arslanbucak and Kuzdere are lived in all year. Further up the mountain, winters are cooler, so heavier drapes become more popular.
What hotel work taught us
At NG Phaselis Bay and Güral Premier Tekirova we installed venetian, pleated and roller blinds (more under curtain solutions for hotels). Hotel rooms show how often a blind is opened and closed in a day and how its mechanism has to cope with salty, humid air. We apply the same standards to villas – see curtain solutions for villas.
Good choices for villas and holiday homes
Wooden blinds with 50 mm slats bring warmth to the living room and let you angle the light. For gallery windows or very wide glazing, motorised curtains spare you the ladder – we only suggest them where a window is genuinely hard to reach. Screen roller blinds cut the glare while keeping the sea and mountains in view, and pleated blinds follow the shape of skylights and arched or triangular windows. In holiday lets we nearly always recommend blackout fabric in the bedrooms, as early summer sun is the most common guest complaint.
Prices
Price depends on product, size, fabric and mechanism. Verified averages: wooden blinds about 3,000 TL/m², aluminium blinds about 2,000 TL/m², pleated blinds 1,000–4,000 TL/m². Everything else is quoted at the free visit; in a villa, the number of windows and the choice of mechanism make a real difference. See curtain and blind prices. As Kemer is far from our base, we don’t claim prices identical to a city job – any travel arrangement is discussed openly when you book. Credit-card instalments are available.
Distance, appointments and approving from abroad
Our showroom is in Bahçeyaka, Döşemealtı, and Kemer lies beyond Konyaaltı along the coast road. So we prepare: send photos or a short video of your windows on WhatsApp – in English if you like – and we know which samples and motor options to bring. The visit is booked for a fixed day, ideally with other appointments in the area. Many owners are away for much of the year; a site manager or neighbour can open the door while you approve measurements and fabrics remotely. Our own team fits everything and sends you a video of the result. Book your visit when it suits you.
