Serik is not just Belek
Serik is a large district between Aksu and Manavgat. Most visitors know it for the hotels and villas of Belek and Kadriye on the coast, but inland it is a working farming area. The town itself has four- and five-storey apartment blocks, older detached houses near the market and a few newer complexes. Further out come single-storey village houses with gardens, family homes on two floors and, between them, fields and greenhouses.
That mix means very different windows. Flats have standard uPVC frames and balcony doors; village houses have wide glazing onto a veranda, old metal frames and conservatories added over the years. The plain is flat, so nothing shades west-facing glass in the afternoon, and when fields are ploughed or harvested the wind carries dust right up to the windows. Our first question is often simply: how will you clean it?
Around the district
For the villa-and-hotel side of the coast, see our Belek page. Elsewhere in Serik we typically find:
- Serik town: flats where the street-facing window needs privacy and the living room should still look smart. A sheer plus a roller or venetian blind covers most needs.
- Kökez and Abdurrahmanlar: detached houses among greenhouses and farmland, where dust decides what works.
- Gebiz: an older inland settlement with traditional houses next to renovated ones; out-of-square frames are common.
- Belkıs: village homes around Aspendos, often with large glazed doors onto a veranda.
- Boğazkent: holiday homes and small complexes near the sea, where humidity and salt air matter and some houses stand empty in winter.
What we suggest, house by house
For wide veranda glazing, vertical blinds are hard to beat: tilt the slats for light, stack them to one side when the glass is used as a door, and unclip a single slat to wash it. In kitchens and rooms facing the greenhouses, aluminium blinds with 16 mm slats wipe clean with a damp cloth; our guide on how to clean venetian blinds shows how to do it without bending them. In flats, a plain roller blind suits most bedrooms (with a blackout fabric if the room faces west), while sheer curtains in a machine-washable fabric soften the light in the living room. Enclosed verandas and sloping roof windows are a job for pleated blinds.
Prices in Serik
Price depends on product, size, fabric and mechanism. Our verified averages: wooden blinds about 3,000 TL/m², aluminium blinds about 2,000 TL/m², pleated blinds 1,000–4,000 TL/m². Vertical blinds, roller blinds and sheers are quoted at the free visit. More detail is on our prices page. Serik is a long way from our showroom, so we cannot promise exactly the same terms as a job in the city centre; if a travel arrangement is needed, we say so clearly when you book. Credit-card instalments are available.
How we work in Serik
Our showroom is in Bahçeyaka, Döşemealtı, on the other side of Antalya. So we plan rather than pop round. Start by sending a few photos of your windows on WhatsApp – in English if you prefer – and we decide which sample books to bring. The visit is booked for a fixed day, grouped with other appointments nearby, and you choose fabrics in the light of your own rooms. After production our own team fits everything, ideally in one trip. If you live abroad part of the year, a relative or neighbour can let us in and you approve measurements and fabrics from photos and video. Book a visit whenever suits you.
