Keep the view, lose the glare
In a high-floor flat in Konyaaltı or Lara, or a villa near the coast, closing the blinds usually means giving up the view you paid for. Screen fabric is woven from fine threads with tiny openings. It filters part of the sunlight and reduces heat and glare, yet you still see the sea, the Taurus mountains or the city through it.
Offices and monitor glare
In south- or west-facing offices the afternoon sun on monitors makes work tiring. A screen blind diffuses the light instead of shutting it out, so the room stays bright and screens stay readable. On long glass façades, fitting the same screen colour on every window also gives the building a tidy look from the street. More on this on our page about blinds for offices.
Colour changes how it performs
- Dark shades (charcoal, grey) cut glare better and give a clearer view out.
- Light shades (white, beige) keep the room brighter and blend with a light façade from outside.
The best way to choose is to hold the samples against your own window during the home visit. Our guide to choosing blinds for Antalya’s climate explains which windows need the most protection.
What about the evening?
After dark, with the lights on inside, screen fabric no longer hides the room. For bedrooms and street-facing windows we suggest pairing it with a blackout blind or lined curtains. Owners who are abroad can follow the choice by video call or WhatsApp photos.
Best suited for
- Offices and meeting rooms
- Sea-view living rooms
- Large glazed façades and conservatories
