Dress panels or full-width curtains?
Dress panels hang at each side of the window and are purely decorative: they add colour and soften hard window frames, while a sheer curtain or a blind does the daily work. Full-width curtains draw right across the glass and give you privacy and darkness in the evening. In many Antalya living rooms we combine both ideas – generous side curtains that can still be closed when the sun drops behind the balcony.
Fabric choices
- Linen and linen-look: relaxed and airy, ideal for bright, sea-facing rooms.
- Velvet: heavy drape, softens sound and feels warm in winter.
- Jacquard and printed fabrics: pattern and texture for a statement wall.
- Blackout-lined: for bedrooms that catch the early morning sun – or see our blackout blinds.
Care differs a lot between these fabrics; our curtain washing and care guide covers each one.
Heading styles
The heading decides how the curtain falls. A pinch pleat gives crisp, tailored folds for a classic room. A wave heading runs on a track in soft, even S-shaped curves and suits modern apartments. Eyelets slide directly onto a pole for a simple, casual finish.
Poles, tracks and ceilings
A decorative curtain pole stays on show; a ceiling-fixed or recessed track hides the hardware and makes the curtain look as if it falls from the ceiling, which visually lifts the room. On tall or very wide glazing we can fit a track that is ready for motorised curtains later. At the visit we check the wall, ceiling and window frame before recommending a fixing.
