Antalya curtain specialists: showroom and free home visit
MakDekor has been making and fitting curtains and blinds in Antalya since 2017. Our showroom is on Atatürk Boulevard in Bahçeyaka, Döşemealtı, and from there we cover the city and the coast from Kemer to Alanya. Everything is made to measure: we measure on site, have each blind or curtain made for that exact window, and fit it with our own installation team.
If you are an expat, a second-home owner or a landlord, you probably want to deal with one company, in your own language, from the first visit to the last screw. The team speaks English, Russian, German and Turkish, and WhatsApp is usually the easiest way to start. You can read more about the company and its founder on our about us page.
Which blind for which room?
- Living room: zebra blinds or wooden blinds to adjust the light through the day, or sheer curtains with curtains and drapes for a softer look.
- Bedrooms: blackout blinds – the summer sun rises early here.
- Kitchen and bathroom: moisture-proof aluminium blinds or simple roller blinds.
- Glazed balcony: pleated blinds, made for each glass panel.
- Sliding doors: side-stacking vertical blinds.
- High or hard-to-reach glass: motorised curtains on a remote or wall switch.
Still unsure? Our guide on how to choose curtains and blinds lists the questions worth answering first, and zebra or roller blinds? compares the two most popular options room by room.
Homes, holiday lets, villas, hotels and offices
A sea-view flat in Konyaaltı, a rental apartment in Alanya and a villa in Belek all need something different. For holiday lets we lean towards hard-wearing, easy-to-wipe products that guests cannot easily damage. We have also fitted venetian, pleated and roller blinds in hotels in Lara, Kundu, Belek, Kemer and Tekirova, and we equip offices where screen glare is the main problem.
If you are buying or renovating from abroad, you do not need to fly in for the curtains. A property manager or neighbour can meet us for measuring; we send photos of each window with the suggested options, you choose from the samples on video, and we fit everything before you arrive.
Blinds for Antalya’s climate
Long, hot summers and strong afternoon sun on south- and west-facing windows are the norm. Screen and zebra fabrics filter the glare without hiding the view, metal slats and wipeable fabrics cope best with sea air and humidity, and blackout keeps bedrooms dark. Colour matters too: pale, natural tones keep a room feeling fresh in August, while very dark fabrics soak up the heat. Our guide to curtains for Antalya’s climate goes into more detail.
Areas we cover
Döşemealtı, Lara, Konyaaltı, Kepez, Muratpaşa, Kundu, Belek, Serik, Kemer, Side, Manavgat and Alanya. The further away you are, the more we plan the visit around a fixed appointment.
