Why Kundu gets its own page
Most people looking for blinds in Kundu are furnishing either a hotel or a flat in one of the residences between the hotels. Kundu belongs to Antalya’s Aksu district and is the stretch of coast east of Lara where large resort hotels line up along the beach. Behind it, new residences and complexes are spreading towards Kemerağzı, Topallı and Altıntaş. The inland villages and garden homes are covered on our Aksu page; this page is about the coast.
That difference changes the brief. In a family home, the same people open and close a blind carefully for years. In Kundu it is often a different guest every week: cords get yanked, venetians are pulled up while still closed, balcony doors slide shut on the fabric. Sturdy, simple and easy to repair beats decorative here.
What the coast does to windows
- Sand and wind: the beach is wide and sandy, and on windy days fine sand gets into balcony tracks, between slats and into roller mechanisms.
- Southern sun: most rooms face the sea, with full-height glass doors, so rooms heat up fast at midday.
- Sleep: holidaymakers want to sleep late and sit out on the balcony at night – proper blackout in bedrooms is a must.
- Closed season: residences shut for the winter can trap humidity; wipe-clean fabrics and rust-resistant parts avoid nasty surprises at opening time.
Around Kundu
- The hotel strip – rooms, lobbies, restaurants and spas each need something different; one hotel may use blackout roller blinds, aluminium venetians and screen blinds side by side.
- Kemerağzı – between Kundu and Lara, homes and new developments near the beach, many let to holidaymakers.
- Topallı and Çalkaya – behind the main road, a mix of new complexes and detached houses, more sheltered from the sea wind.
- Altıntaş – a fast-growing residential area towards the airport, mostly year-round families.
- Towards Lara – for the tall sea-view blocks west of Kundu, see our Lara page.
Choosing products the hotel way
- Bedrooms: blackout blinds, sized to overlap the opening so less light leaks round the edges. Our hotel fabric range also includes flame-retardant options.
- Bathrooms, kitchenettes, staff areas: aluminium blinds with 16 mm slats shrug off steam and wipe clean; a single broken slat can be replaced.
- Balcony doors and glazed balconies: pleated or slim roller blinds per glass panel – see balcony blinds.
- Lobbies, restaurants, pool side: screen roller blinds cut glare and heat while guests can still see the sea.
Our hotel work in Kundu
Our references here are Ducale and AIC Hotels, where we installed venetian, pleated and roller blinds. Three lessons from that work: group rooms by type but still measure every window; schedule fitting around occupancy so guests are not disturbed; and keep fabric and colour consistent so the façade looks uniform from outside. More on our hotel solutions.
For owners who let their flat
Between seasons, a snapped cord or jammed venetian does not always mean a new blind. Our blind repair service fixes many faults; send a photo first and we will tell you whether repair is worth it.
Prices
Price depends on product, size, fabric and mechanism; for hotels, room types and quantities shape the quote. Averages: wooden blinds about 3,000 TL/m², aluminium blinds about 2,000 TL/m², pleated blinds 1,000–4,000 TL/m². Blackout, screen and hotel fabrics are quoted after measuring. See our prices page.
How we serve Kundu
Our showroom is in Bahçeyaka, Döşemealtı, and Kundu is on the other side of the city, past the airport on the coast. So every visit is booked by appointment, ideally grouped with other jobs nearby. For a flat, send photos of the windows and balcony on WhatsApp first; we then book a free visit with sample books. Hotels can start with a list of room types and a few photos. If you are abroad, someone just needs to let us in – we send fabric options by photo and video and fit once you approve. We speak English, Russian and German. Get in touch.
