Roller and venetian blind repair in Antalya

Roller and venetian blind repair in Antalya

A roller blind with a snapped chain, a zebra blind that drops crooked or a venetian with broken cords can often be repaired. We look at a photo first and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

Diagnosis first

A photo or short video on WhatsApp usually shows us what is wrong; if not, we come and look.

Repair or replace?

If parts are available and the fabric is sound, we repair. If repair makes no sense, we say so.

Clear price before work

Price and date are agreed after we have seen the blind. Nothing starts without your approval.

Do not throw a broken blind away just yet

When a roller blind stops working, the cause is usually not the fabric but a small part: a snapped chain, a broken connector, an end cap that has slipped out of its bracket. Most repair requests we receive in Antalya are like this and do not require a whole new blind. We find the cause first, then give you an honest comparison between repairing and replacing.

Common faults we see

Roller and blackout blinds – broken chains, blinds that will not roll up or slowly drop by themselves, fabric winding crooked on the tube, loose brackets. With roller blinds the mechanism is simple, so repair is usually worthwhile.

Zebra blinds – the two fabric layers have to stay aligned. If the blind drifts to one side or the bottom bar hangs at an angle, readjustment often solves it; a cracked mechanism needs a new part.

Pleated blinds – pleated blinds are carried on thin cords running through the fabric. When a cord breaks the blind sags on one side; restringing and rebalancing can bring it back if the pleats are intact.

Venetian and vertical blinds – broken lift cords, worn ladder strings, a tilt rod that spins freely, bent slats on aluminium blinds; worn cords on heavier wooden blinds; louvres dropping off the track on vertical blinds.

Repair or new blind?

Not every blind is worth repairing. Fixing the mechanism on a sun-faded, brittle roller blind may just bring the next problem forward, and some older systems no longer have spare parts. In those cases we put the cost of repair next to the cost of a new blind. You will find average prices for new blinds on our prices page; the repair price itself is always given after we have seen the blind.

About the warranty

Mechanisms on blinds installed by MakDekor carry a 2-year warranty – see warranty and service. For blinds bought elsewhere or out of warranty, the terms of a repair are agreed case by case before work starts.

How to request a repair

  1. Take a photo of the whole blind and a close-up of the fault; a short video while operating it helps.
  2. Tell us roughly how old it is and where it was bought.
  3. Send it via WhatsApp from our contact page – in English, Russian, German or Turkish.

If you are away from your holiday home, a neighbour or manager can send the photos and let us in; you approve the price remotely.

Small habits that prevent faults

Pull chains and cords straight down and gently, raise blinds when windows are open on windy days, and follow our guide on how to clean blinds so slats are not bent during cleaning.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a blind repair cost?

It depends on the fault, the mechanism and the part needed, so we do not publish a fixed price. Send a photo or short video on WhatsApp and we will quote once we have seen it.

Do you repair blinds bought elsewhere?

Yes, we take a look. Some systems have parts that are no longer available, though – in that case we will tell you what the sensible alternative is.

Is a repair covered by warranty?

Mechanisms on blinds installed by MakDekor carry a 2-year warranty. For other repairs, the terms are agreed case by case before we start.

My zebra blind hangs crooked. Can it be fixed?

Fabric slipping on the tube or bands that no longer line up are common with zebra blinds and can often be readjusted. We can tell you for sure once we have seen it.

Do you look at motorised blinds?

Yes. The fault may lie in the motor, the remote or the power supply. We start with photos and video and book a visit if needed.
