The go-to choice for glazed balconies
Many sea-view apartments in Antalya have folding glass balconies. We make a pleated blind for each glass panel, so when you fold the glass back the blind folds with it. You keep the view and lose the midday glare.
Opens from the top and the bottom
Close the blind from the bottom up, or leave the top open and cover only the lower part – you still see the sky while passers-by cannot see in.
Fabric options
- Sheer pleated: softens the light and keeps the view.
- Dim-out: cuts the sun while keeping the room bright.
- Blackout: full darkness for bedrooms and roof windows.
Single or double direction?
A single-direction system closes only one way – from the bottom up or the top down – and is the simpler, more economical option. With a double-direction system both the top and bottom rails move, so you can park the fabric anywhere on the window, even in the middle. On windows overlooked by a street or a neighbouring block, that flexibility makes a real difference. Because the system affects the price, we decide it window by window at the visit.
Measuring and fitting on balcony glazing
Each panel of a folding balcony system is measured separately, as the widths are not always identical. We fix the blind to the panel profile or the glass frame, so it slides and folds with the panel and never blocks the glazing. Fixed panes and ordinary windows take frame mounting, while roof and sloping windows use a tensioned system. That is why pleated blinds are always measured on site; for a rough idea beforehand, see our guide on how to measure windows for blinds.
Which fabric for which room?
In high-rise sea-view flats in Konyaaltı and Lara, the glazed balcony often becomes part of the living room, so a sheer or dim-out fabric that keeps the view is the usual pick. Balconies off a bedroom and attic rooms tend to get blackout. A home office does well with dim-out, which takes the glare off the screen without making the room gloomy.
Pleated or zebra?
For a standard, single-pane window, zebra blinds are worth considering too – you slide the bands to adjust the light. Pleated blinds win where the blind must sit on an opening sash, open from both ends or fit triangles, slopes and very narrow panes.
Motorised pleated blinds
On skylights and high windows you cannot reach, pleated blinds can be supplied as motorised blinds on a remote or wall switch. We plan the power supply together at the visit.
