Why curtains need their own plan when you move
Removal companies move your furniture, but they rarely take curtains down or put them back up. Rushed removal breaks a roller blind bracket, tangles venetian cords and loses track gliders – and on the first night in the new home the windows are bare. Our removal and refitting service fills that gap.
What is included
At the old home – sheers and drapes are taken off their tracks or poles and made ready to pack; tracks, poles and decorative curtain poles are removed from walls or ceilings; roller, zebra, pleated and venetian blinds come off with their brackets, without forcing the mechanism; screws, brackets and gliders are bagged per window.
At the new home – we plan which curtain goes where, fix tracks and brackets with plugs suited to the wall or ceiling, hang the curtains and test every blind.
When the new windows are different
This is the most common surprise. Roller blinds, zebra and venetian blinds are made to measure: if the new window is wider the blind will not cover the glass, if it is narrower it will not fit the recess. Curtains are more forgiving – if the track is long enough they usually work, though a different ceiling height can leave them too short or too long.

Motorised curtains
With motorised curtains there is also power to think about. The new home needs a socket or suitable connection where the motor will sit. We check this in advance; changes to the wiring are a job for an electrician.
Tenants, landlords and owners abroad
Tenants moving out can take the blinds they paid for with them – just bear in mind that wall plug holes may be left behind. Landlords preparing a flat for new tenants often combine removal with fresh curtains or curtain cleaning. If you own a holiday home and are not in Antalya, you can approve everything by photo and video.
