Garden homes, open on every side
Most homes we work on in Yeşilbayır sit in their own garden: detached villas, semi-detached houses and low-rise complexes with green space. The neighbourhood is part of Döşemealtı and very close to our showroom (see curtains and blinds in Döşemealtı). Unlike a flat, a detached house is open on all four sides, so one product rarely suits the whole home.
Planning by façade
- East: early sun reaches the bedrooms – blackout roller blinds or lined curtains help you sleep.
- South: the living room gets light all day; a screen blind filters it and keeps the garden in view.
- West: the hottest side on summer afternoons; heavier curtains or a solid blind also slow fading of furniture and floors.
- North: soft light, where a sheer is often enough on its own.
We note the orientation of every window at the visit and keep colours consistent across the house.
Garden and terrace doors
The sliding door to the garden is in use all day – children, guests, maybe a dog. Two options work well: vertical blinds that stack to one side, or a double curtain system with sheer and curtain on separate tracks. We finish the fabric slightly above the floor so it does not drag through garden dirt.
High ceilings and tall glass
In villas with double-height rooms, pulling heavy fabric by hand every day is awkward and wears it out. Motorised curtains open and close by remote; at the visit we check whether power is needed at the top of the window. Price depends on size and mechanism and is given on site.
When the lights go on
During the day privacy is rarely an issue in a garden home – the evening is. Once the lights are on, a sheer turns transparent, so plan a second layer that closes at night. Our page on curtains for villas shows more examples.
Dust and big fabrics
Gardening and open land nearby bring dust to the windows, and floor-to-ceiling curtains are hard to wash at home – our curtain cleaning service takes care of them. Sand, beige and off-white shades also show dust less.
Prices and visits
Price depends on product, size, fabric and mechanism; verified averages are wooden blinds about 3,000 TL/m², aluminium about 2,000 TL/m² and pleated 1,000–4,000 TL/m². Other systems are quoted after measuring – see prices. If you live abroad, we send options as photos and videos and schedule fitting around your next stay. Building next door? See Altınkale.
